MHD Heat Transfer Mixed Convection Flow Along a Vertical Stretching Sheet in Presence of Magnetic Field With Heat Generation

چکیده

The steady two-dimensional MHD heat transfer mixed convection flow of a viscous incompressible fluid near a stretching permeable sheet in presence of a uniform magnetic field with heat generation is considered when the buoyancy force assists or opposes the flow. The equations governing the flow and temperature fields are reduced to a system of coupled non-linear ordinary differential equations. These non-linear differential equations are integrated numerically by using Nachtsheim-Swigert [1] shooting iteration technique along with sixth order Runge-Kutta integration scheme. Critical values of buoyancy parameter are obtained for vanished shear stress. The numerical results are benchmarked with the earlier study by Mohamed Ali and Fahd Al-Yousef [2] and found to be in excellent agreement. Finally the effects of the pertinent parameters which are of physical and engineering interest are presented in tabular form.
